Protecting our environment

Hague recognises that, whilst our activities enhance the built environment, they also have the capacity to damage the natural environment.

We are committed to protecting the environment by managing habitat, energy and waste and have adopted the principles of sustainability aiming for continual improvement in our environmental performance.

Through our in-house Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Director and Manager we constantly assess the effect of our activities on the environment and ensure our processes meet the certification requirements of ISO 14001: 2005 as well as keeping up to date in compliance with environmental legislation and codes of practice.

We set key performance indicators which are measured by quantitative targets to demonstrate continual improvement in our environmental performance.

Our staff are provided with ongoing training to enable them to achieve our environmental objectives

Paperless communication between head office and each individual site manager is achieved by our having adopted Builderstorm, a digital construction project management software system.
