The Port of Tilbury contracted Hague Construction as Principle Contractor to design and construct a new lorry park offsite at Tilbury
Hague Construction engaged their specialist to produce the design for the new 10,000m2 parking area incorporating all elements from initial earthworks to fencing and wheel stops.
The works entailed the removal of an existing hardstanding that was processed to be incorporated within the project.
A new drainage strategy was designed and installed incorporating 200m of Gatic Ultraslot channels and Beany Block kerbs.
Service ducting was installed to service the new lighting and CCTV systems prior to in-excess of 2,500m3 of air entrained concrete being installed in a series of bays to form the hardwearing surface.
To complete the project, new Armco barriers, fencing and wheel stops were installed.
The whole process from design to completion was carried out within a 16 week duration.
